Complete list of Winners at 2018 Film Festival

It is now very clear that the film industry in Uganda is slowly, but steadily growing as it was witnessed at the film festival gala night on Friday night at the Kampala Serena conference center where the best Actors, Producers, among others, took home awards.

The festival in its sixth year has registered remarkable improvements just like the film industry is developing with many actors embracing Uganda’s local film industry.

The Uganda Film festival 2018 that kick started Monday last week with a range of activities such as free screening of movies in all cinemas among others was climaxed with different characters being appreciated with accolades, certificates and cash prizes in their different respective categories ranging from Best Student film, Best Screen Play to Best African film, among others.

The awards were dominated by Veronica’s wish film that scooped nine awards in best cinematography, best script among others.

The ceremony was graced by Minister Aidah Nantaba, UCC’s boss Godfrey Mutabazi, NBS’s Joel Kigozi, Nana Kagga and others from all walks of life.

The event was hosted by NTV’s sensational incredibly talented Flavia Tumusiime and radio personality who also doubles as an actor Roger Mugisha.

Viewers’ choice Award-94 terror
