Business organizations have been advised to embrace the current Information age and also the benefits that come along.
It’s widely believed that the Digital Era which is characterized by technology increases the speed and breadth of knowledge turnover within the economy and society hence leading to the smooth running of the business.
Mr Ishmael Mulli, the Country manager Dimension Data Uganda who was speaking at a digital business day forum held at Golden Tulip Hotel, said:
“We are living in a digital time. It’s an era of greatness and the only thing we need to do is believe that we can. Businesses must constantly reinvent themselves to stay one step ahead of the competition.”
Mulli noted that organizations that have focused their business models around their customer’s digital lifestyle have been able to generate tremendous value from the digital wave.
The flagship event which was hosted with Dimension data’s global partner Cisco, was also aimed at showcasing the latest solutions that enable businesses to fast track their digital transformation journey.
In his keynote address, Ndungu Kahindo said:
“Every organisation must rethink the way they do business in order to stay ahead of change, if we actually transform, the possibilities in the digital age are limitless.
“The uncomfortable truth of the digital industry is we have the disrupters coming in and this has become an accepted norm. Digital is the way customers are going to like to be served and the only way to go is to jump onto the bandwagon.”
The half day event saw a presentation (about the keys to excellent IT Service delivery in digital business) from Dimension Data East Africa service development manager Francis Gituru.
