Wales 40-76 Uganda
Uganda Netball team, the She Cranes has dismantled Wales in a 40-76 victory, a game played this afternoon (Uganda time) in the ongoing Commonwealth Games, Gold Coast.
The win now puts Uganda in a slightly better position to have a chance of qualifying to the semis.
Uganda are now third on the log with two wins out of their four games.
Coming into this tie at the back of a defeat to England Roses, the She Cranes knew that it was only a win they wanted to brighten their chances of qualifying to the next phase, and they didn’t disappoint.
Uganda quickly got out of the blocks to lead 9-18 in the first quarter, the side never looked back as they added 20 points to take a 20-39 lead at the long break.
She Cranes, led by Peace Proscovia, held on to their advantage; scoring 19 and 18 goals in the following quarters to seal a deserved victory.
Proscovia led the charts with 56 goals, Rachael Nanyonga scored 20 of her 24 attempts.

April 10th – Wales 40-76 Uganda.
With one game to go, the She Cranes will to beat Scotland and also pray that New Zealand lose to England’s Roses to have a chance of qualification.
Malawi is also still in contention, the Queens are fourth, below Uganda with an inferior goal difference.
