CHAN: Uganda Cranes Off To Djibouti For Somalia Clash

The Uganda Cranes team featuring in the 2020 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) has left to Djibouti for their preliminary round one match against Somalia.

The team comprising 18 players and 12 officials has flown off for the Saturday 27th match at the Al Haji Hussein Giled stadium.’

The head coach Abdallah Mubiru and his assistant Livingstone Mbabazi trimmed their squad to 18 after the team’s uninspiring goalless draw against Proline FC on Wednesday.

Some of those axed from the team include Bright Stars striker Nelson Senkatuka, Nicholas Kasozi and Filbert Obenchan both from KCCA, goalkeepers Yasin Mugabi Saidi Keni and Joel Mutakubya.

Others are; Galiwango Dissan (Express FC), Mandela Ashraf (URA FC), Nicholas Kasozi , David Owor, Yusuf Ssozi ( Paidha Black Angels), Samson Andrew Kigozi (Kakiri Town Council FC) and Johnson Odong (
Police FC).

Those that traveled are;
Goalkeepers: Lukwago Charles (KCCA FC), Alitho James (URA FC)

Others – Tom Masiko (Vipers SC), Mustafa Mujuzi (Proline FC), Mbowa Paul Patrick (URA FC), Paul Willa (Vipers SC),  Kizza Mustafa (KCCA FC), Ibrahim Juma Sadam (KCCA FC), Kayiwa Allan (Vipers SC), Lwanga Tadeo (Vipers SC),  Mutyaba Muzamiru (KCCA FC), Kagimu Shafik Kuchi (URA FC), John Revita (Express FC), Awany Dennis Timothy (KCCA FC), Serunkuma Dan Muzeyi (Vipers SC), Kyambadde Allan (KCCA FC), Kaddu Patrcik Henry (KCCA FC) and Allan Okello (KCCA FC).
