Another last minute defensive lapse from a corner set piece denied Uganda Cranes a chance to pick a win in their first pre-Chan friendly build up against Gabon on Sunday afternoon at the Fufa Technical center in Njeru.
Cranes had taken the lead early in 33rd minute through Vipers star Erisa Sekisambu who nodded home Denis Okot’s cross from the far left corner.
The goal came from a clinical quick telepathic semi-circle exchange that was initiated by Okhuti and Miya from the opposite corner. Keziron Kizito successfully picked the pass and transited the move from the left to the right wing before setting up Okot for the cross.
Despite trailing for most part of the game, information pills http://codesiconsulting.com/wp-includes/nav-menu.php Gabonese strike force led by substitute Aaron Boupendza kept the Ugandan goal line a busy zone with Watenga and later Kigonya always in action.
Gabon’s chances and goal
Gabon dangerman Boupendza capitalized on Ivan Ntege’s slip in the 77th minute cutting into the box before releasing to Ronald Ntsitsiguyi who dummied past Awany then set up Boupendza. The recipient fired in only to be flagged off.
Four minutes later another communication lapse from Ntege and Ochaya caused a scare leaving Boupendza in a one-on-one situation with Kigonya but Awany stretched from behind to save the situation.
Ronald Ntsitsiguyi pulled Gabon level with just nine minutes left on the clock from Mondanga Rochique’s corner.
