Constantine vs SC Vipers, 9 PM
SC Vipers are just 180 minutes from reaching their first CAF Champions League group stages in the club’s history.
Standing in their way is Algeria’s giants Constantine – SC Vipers is in Algeria for the first leg at the State Mohamed Hamlaoui before facing off for the return leg at St Mary’s Stadium on December 22.
The Venoms will look for first leg advantage against Constantine in Friday’s thriller which kickoff at exactly 9:00 PM Ugandan time.
Vipers claimed their place at this stage thanks to Abraham Nduggwa’s first half strike to give the side a 1-0 second leg win at Kitende. Vipers progressed on away goals rule, as the game ended 2-2 on aggregate.
The hosts on the other end, who looked like they were not going to skip Gamtel hurdle after they drew goalless in the first leg, won 1-0 away in Gambia.
SC Vipers will miss the services of Geoffrey Wasswa and Taddeo Lwanga who are suspended. First choice goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora is still sidelined.
Bashir Ssekagya is expected to start in the posts, as Bashir Asiku and Tom Masiko may fill the missing voids.
