The President of Kenya was represented by the Cabinet Secretary for Transport and Infrastructure, http://channelingerik.com/wp-admin/includes/noop.php Engineer Micheal Kamau while the the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, http://davidsols.fr/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php Mr. Abdiweli Shiekh Ahmed, is represented by his Minister and Legal Adviser, Dr. Fassil Hahom.
Burundi is represented by the Senate’s President, Hon. Gabriel Ntisezerana. Also present at the ceremony was the Deputy Secretary General of the East African Community (EAC) Ms. Jessica Eriyo.
The Standard Gauge Railway which is part of the Northern Corridor Integrated Projects, will start from the Port of Mombasa through Nairobi in Kenya to Kampala.
It will also traverse the Tororo – Gulu to Nimule up to Juba route in South Sudan and also from Kampala to Kasese on to Mpondwe in Western Uganda on to Kigali and also from Pakwach to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) border and again from Mpodwe to the DRC border.
The Railway line will be constructed by the Uganda Defence People’s Forces (UPDF) Brigade and the Chinese Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC). The project is slated to be completed by 2018. Neighbouring Kenya launched the building of her Standard Gauge Railway line in October 2013.
The modern high capacity, reliable, safe and affordable railway line will enable trains travel at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour and will reduce the number of days it takes to transport goods from Mombasa to Kampala to only 2 instead of the current 14 days.
President Museveni, who informed his guests on the genesis of adopting the concept of constructing the SGR, highly commended regional leaders for accepting his idea adding that it will greatly boost the economies of the region.
“I am happy that our countries are now working together. When countries cooperate, we are on the right track,” he observed.
President Museveni also thanked the Government of China and its agencies for incurring all the huge loans for various projects but was optimistic that in the next 2 to 3 years, Uganda will be able to stand on its own feet with the oil money.Dr. Jose Chameleone, site http://cubanet.org/wp-admin/includes/class-plugin-installer-skin.php one of Uganda’s most talented musician came out recently to comment on the allegations made by fellow musician Cindy that the former’s people (Producer Kayz and his bodyguard) might have stolen the her money purse that had a huge amount of money.
The ‘Wale Wale’ star took to his facebook page to voice his displeasure at him and his people being dragged into the Cindy money purse disappearance saga. In a post that had a hidden message, he hinted on the fact that pick-pockets exist and that we all should be aware of that.
The music doctor further added that he could not watch his fans and Cindy’s business too. He also said that “next time you carry your purse, carry the one to carry it too.” He also said that Cindy can go to him and get a refund if that will make her feel alright.
“I should make this clear to whosoever is concerned, we are all parasites to nature and I accept fair parasites. But I am not pleased by anybody that dies to share who I am to build their dream. I want to respect you if there is a chance. NOT because you want me to. Funny is even the weak are professionals in weakness. All they do is plan how to survive like hyenas next to Simba,” Chameleone wrote.
“Honestly, I love fair games and next time you carry your purse, carry the one to carry it too! I won’t be watching my fans and your business. Take a leaf, all you putting energy to such rubbish; buy a hoe, plant pine in the next ten years you will be happy to take my advice. Don’t put your energy to little things and little on your future.”
It wasn’t the post that evoked a lot of confusion on Facebook though; it was the poster that accompanied the post. It read, “BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETERS AND LOOSE WOMEN.” This did not please Cindy’s fans who concluded that Chameleone had insinuated that Cindy was a ‘loose woman’.
This would not come as a surprise since Producer Kayz had already called Cindy a slut on his Facebook page as he tried to defend himself against the allegations that he had stolen the money purse.
“This low grade woman has the audacity to involve me in her stupid messages. This must be a joke and a clown of a person. No wonder she’s becoming a man eater and stealer. I make a million shillings a week or more to care about her wallet. I guess it contained condoms,” Producer Kayz angrily wrote.
