CECAFA: Slow start for KCCA, Proline in Rwanda

Uganda’s representatives to this year’s Cecafa Kagame Club championships, Proline and KCCA FC started their campaign on a wrong foot after failing to win their opening games.

KCCA, who qualified as Uganda Premier League champions, came from a goal down to force a 1-all draw against Kenya’s Bandari FC.

Hassan Abdallah had put the coastal Kenya side ahead in the third minute before Ibrahim Sadam Juma levelled matters at the hour turn.

Proline on the other side, lost 1-0 to Rwanda’s army side APR FC through a Thierry Manzi strike.

Another Rwandan side, Rayon Sports edged DR Congo giants TP Mazembe 1-0 to ascend to the top of group A.
