The Council For East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) has set dates for the U17 and U20 AFCON regional qualifiers.
This development was confirmed on Thursday following an Executive committee meeting that was held on Saturday 10th October in Arusha, Tanzania.
According to resolutions from the meeting, the U20 AFCON qualifiers will take place between 22nd November and 6th December 2020 in Tanzania.
The U17 African Nations Cup qualifiers will however take place between 13th and 28th December, 2020 in Rwanda.
Ten countries have already confirmed their participation in the U-17 and U-20 AFCON qualifier tournaments which will be pitted into two groups and the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, South Sudan, Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Burundi and Somalia are the ten Nations that confirmed participation in the forthcoming Championships.
Uganda defeated Ethiopia 3-1 in the U-17 AFCON tournament final in 2018 to win the championship.
