Cancer has yet again robbed Uganda of a darling, citizen and cancer patient Carol Atuhirwe.
Carol, made it to the public domain months ago when a car wash charity drive moved many in and around Kampala.
Confirming her death, Muhereza Kyamutetera, the brains behind the car wash said, “ Our Atuhirwe Carol has finally gone to be with the Lord”
“Thanks all ye for the fight,”he added.
Kyamutetera also noted that the “details will be communicated later’.
Carol was diagnosed with deadly throat cancer that she has battled for months until Thursday evening.
The 25-year-old former Uganda Christian University student attracted public attention when celebrities and key personalities joined the drive to save her life.
On April 26 2016, a car wash was held at Panamera to fundraise for her medical bill, estimated at around Shs. 264M.
Luckily, a whooping Shs. 324M was collected.
She was flown to India for treatment and was earlier responding positively to treatment.
