CAF U20: Lule Names Hippos Starting XI Against South Sudan

Uganda Hippos head coach Matia Lule has released the team that will face South Sudan in the return leg of the CAF U20 qualifier game against South Sudan. The game is slated for Saturday at Juba Stadium.

Lule has made only two changes from the team that played in the first leg at Startimes stadium in Kampala.

With KCCA FC roving full back Mustafa Kiiza suspended, Robert Kitabalwa who plays with St.Mary’s Kitende comes in as a direct replacement.

The other change sees Proline’s Joshua Okiror start on bench with Ivan Eyamu who did not feature in the first leg taking up his slot on the left wing.

Saidi Keni maintains his place in goal with Paul Willa in right back. The centre back partnership of Mustafa Mujjuzi and Geoffrey Wasswa is also maintained.

Muhammad Abubaker Kasule is the anchor man of the team with Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye and Allan Okello playing ahead of him.

Steven Dese Mukwala and skipper Julius Poloto complete the starting XI.


The winner on aggregate between Uganda and South Sudan will face Cameroon in the final qualifying round.
