The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has made an adjustment in the dates for 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header ties between Uganda Cranes and South Sudan, the South Sudan Football Association has said.
Initially, the first leg tie between Uganda Cranes and South Sudan was scheduled for 11th while the return leg was slated for 17th November 2020.
However, the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) has confirmed receiving an email from CAF confirming an adjustment in the dates for the Qualifiers.
“SSFA this morning received an email from CAF on the adjustment of the date of AFCON 2021 Qualification match between South Sudan and Uganda from November 11 to November 12.”
“The second game will be played on November 16 in Kenya,” SSFA posted on its official Twitter account.
CAF further confirmed St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende as the venue for the first leg as Mandela National Stadium is now an isolation center for Covid-19 patients. The return leg will be hosted in Nairobi, Kenya.
