Mamelodi Sundowns have been boosted by the return to fitness of Uganda Cranes shot-stopper Denis Onyango.
The bulky keeper was out for several weeks due to an injury he picked during a CAF Champions League match against AL AHly SC in the quarter finals.
The keeper was recalled by the team’s head coach Pitso Mosimane ahead of the tough Friday encounter in Casablanca.
The coach emphasized the need to have the experienced keeper when the 2016 and 2017 champions go head to head.
“You know what happens in Wydad, you have seen games away. We need Denis in those games and we want to make sure Denis is available,” Mosimane insisted.
The return leg will be played on Saturday 4th April in Pretoria, South Africa. In the other semifinal clash, Joseph Ochaya’s TP Mazembe will face Esperance in Tunisia on Saturday.
