Uganda Premier League defending champions Vipers Sports Club will face off with Sudan giants Al Hilal Omdurman, a home to Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Salim Jamal, in the first round of the CAF Champions League preliminary round
This follows the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League preliminary round draws held on Monday in Cairo, Egypt.
Vipers SC will play away to Al Hilal in the first leg scheduled between 27th and 29th November before the return leg slated between 4th and 6th December 2020 at the St Mary’s Stadium.
The aggregate winner between Vipers SC and Al Hilal after the two legs will face either Nouadhibou from Mauritania or Ghana’s Asante Kotoko in the second preliminary round.
The aggregate winner after two legs of the second preliminary round, will then qualify for the First Round of the CAF Champions League.
Elsewhere in the CAF Confederation Cup, UPL runners up KCCA Football Club begin on the second preliminary round having been given a bye in the first round after the draws that were conducted.
KCCA FC will face the aggregate winner between AS Kigali (Rwanda) and Orapa United (Botswana) in the first leg slated for December 22nd-23rd while the return leg will take place between 5th-6th January 2021.
