Vipers Sports Club tactician Fred Kajoba remains confident in his charges despite being drawn against Sudan’s Al Hilal Omdurman in the CAF Champions League preliminary round one.
The Venoms will play host to Al Hilal between 27th-29th November at their fortress St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende before the return leg in Khartoum scheduled for 4th-6th December 2020.
The Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach is unfazed and remains confident in his team’s chances to progress.
“It’s another great opportunity to revive our fortunes in this competition,” Kajoba told Vipers SC website.
He added, “We have what it takes to get past our opponents because the team has been at this level before and we have been preparing for this for many months. We have a good team and we believe that with determination and character, we shall get where want to be.”
The overall winner between Vipers SC and Al Hilal Omdurman will face the winner between Asante Kotoko (Ghana) and Noauadhibou (Mauritania) in the second preliminary round before advancing to the group stages.
