Express Football Club gangly striker Frank Kalanda has opened up on his major objectives with just two games into the 2020/2021 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season.
The towering center forward has so far managed two goals in the club’s two league matches, scoring in their 1-1 draw against Onduparaka and a 2-1 home win over Soltilo Bright Stars at Mutesa I stadium.
“Machete” like he’s fondly known says he’s happy that he has hit the ground running and targets a memorable season performance.
“I want to thank God for the opportunity of being able to score in two straight games. Am focusing and am working hard towards being the top scorer this season,” Kalanda told the club website.
He added, “the competition we have amongst ourselves as players is healthy, everyone knows the target at hand, win silverware and have consistency and we shall overcome.”
Kalanda was Express’ top scorer in all competitions after scoring 11 goals thanks to Eric Kambale and Mustafa Kiragga overwhelming support.
The Red Eagles will play away to Mbarara City Football Club in their 3rd league game before returning home for their Kampala Derby against Sports Club Villa at Wankulukuku
