The Uganda Premier League season is just a few days from getting underway and several teams are fine tuning to make sure they commence on a great note.
Jinja based side BUL FC claimed a commanding victory against Police FC on Tuesday in the game played at Kakindu Stadium.
Facing off for the second time in a space of three weeks, BUL FC made sure they sought for revenge from the 1-0 loss to the same opponent this time winning 3-1.
A brace from striker John Mwindu and a penalty by new recruit from JMC Hippos Daniel Shabena ensured BUL cruised to a comfortable victory despite Juma Balinya pulling one back for the visitors.
Mwindu opened the scores midway the opening half, tapping home in the 26th minute to give Kefa Kisala’s charges the lead.
The forward doubled the lead ten minutes after restart before second half substitute Daniel Shabena put the game beyond reach converting a penalty.
Moments later, the cops pulled one back through Juma Balinya who also scored from a penalty.
The result meant, BUL FC have won six of the nine preseason games played losing just twice and drawing in the other.
BUL FC begins the league campaign with a home encounter against newly promoted Mbarara City FC while Police FC will play away to Masavu FC.
