Uganda Premier League entity BUL Football Club has confirmed Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe as their new home ground for the next five years.
This follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Jinja outfit and the Busoga Kingdom allowing the club occupy the premises shifting from their FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
An official statement released by the club’s communication manager Joseph Mutaka confirmed the new development.
“BUL Football Club is glad to inform the general public that with effect from the forthcoming season 2020/21 will use Kyabazinga Stadium Bugembe as our new home,” read the statement.
BUL FC, dubbed the ‘Eastern Giants’ will therefore own the stadium until the end of the 2024/2025 season.
“The good news is that we have finalized with the signing of all the necessary documents and I can confidently confirm that Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe is our new home of football effective this coming season,” BUL FC Chairman Ronald Barente noted.
Last season, BUL FC finished the Uganda Premier League in the 6th position on 36 points from 25 matches.
