Bugema University Issues Ban On Mini-Skirts,Lipstick

Bugema University has issued a ban on mini -skirts, lip stick, ear rings.

Others include make up, sleeveless & open tops, colored nails, trousers and dresses above the knee line.

The University management issued a letter addressed to all female students of Bugema University both Boarders and day scholars, informing them not to come back next semester with the mentioned items.

According to the letter dated Dec 12, 2018, female students were warned that those who fall prey will face displinary committee for serious action.

It should be noted that President Idi Amin on June 5, 1972, signed a decree prohibiting the wearing of mini-dress in public.

The decree banned the wearing of mini-skirts, hot pants and maxi dress with a V-shaped split.

Women were prohibited from wearing a skirt or dress measuring more than three inches above the knee line.
