Minister of Finance Planning and Economic Development Hon Matia Kasaija stunned residents of Kiruhura district in western Uganda when he informed them that President Museveni had promised never to fire him from government.

He revealed that one of his greatest accomplishments has been encouraging foreign investors to set up businesses in the region and to hire local employees in their companies.

The Minister was speaking at the commissioning of the second phase of a large scale dairy factory, Amos Dairies Ltd at Kageeti.

The company will start producing Whey Protein Concentrate and Permeate Powder majorly for export.

During the event, Minister Kasaija appealed to the company managers to desist from discrimination and to fairly treat and pay their local employees.

He also noted that value addition is the only way that more jobs would be created for the youth of Uganda which Government is relentlessly working on.

Speaking at the event, former Kiruhura MP Hon. Elly Karuhanga appealed to the residents to reelect president Museveni in next year’s polls if they want to see more of such development initiatives sprouting up in their area.

He also called upon foreign investors to take advantage of the prevailing peace in the country and tap in the growing market in the region and all around the country.

Information from Britania Industry reveals that the new pack will be sold at a low cost of Ugshs 1000 and will be readily available in all major supermarkets in the city center.

Muhammed Elzorghani, the director of finance at Britania Allied industries urged Ugandans to boost the county’s economy by consuming the local product.
