Bright Stars FC Appoints Baker Mbowa New Coach

The management of Bright Stars Football Club has confirmed Baker Mbowa, a CAF “B” certified tactician as their new head coach for the next three years.

The development was confirmed after Mbowa penned a three-year deal at the club’s head offices in Kampala on Friday afternoon.

Mbowa joins the Stars as a replacement for Paul Kiwanuka whose departure landed him a job at Vipers Sports Club as an immediate assistant to Fred Kajoba.

He signs for the Stars from Proline Football Club that was relegated to the FUFA Big League after the abrupt end of the Uganda Premier League Last season.

Mbowa edged competition from other candidates including Kefa Kisala who also got a job at UPDF FC, Hussein Mbalangu, Joseph Kiwanuka, and Sadiq Ssempigi.

Last season, Bright Stars finished in the 12th position after 25 games hence his task will be to improve on the team’s performance prior to next season kick-off on the 17th of October.
