Breaking: Desabre Names Uganda Cranes Final Squad For AFCON

After a long wait, Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastian Desabre, has finally released the 23-man squad that will represent Uganda at the Africa Cup of Nations this month.

The Frenchman released the list on Tuesday mid-morning, a day after Caf’s deadline for submission.

Desabre has dropped four players who were mentioned in the initial provisional squad. They are; KCCA FC duo of Charles Lukwago and Saddam Juma, Alexis Bakka  who plays in Sweden for Carlstad United and
Kirizestom Ntambi who plies his trade with Ethiopia Premier League club, Coffee FC.

Uganda will face Ivory Coast in a Friendly match on Saturday in Abu Dhabi before flying to Egypt for the finals.

They start their games on Saturday 22nd against DR Congo, then Zimbabwe and Egypt to follow after four and eight days respectively.
