A number of Boda-boda cyclists who are friends with Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi rescued him from being arrested by police this morning.
It is reported that several policemen had surrounded Bobi Wine’s home in Magere to arrest and prevent him from going to parliament, but got shocked when they searched his home and he was nowhere to be seen.
However, it turned out that while the cops were searching his house, they didn’t know that Bobi Wine had sneaked away the night before.
So the cops waited in for him in vain after being told that he did not sleep at his home.
It is said that Bobi Wine’s Tundra pickup drove out of his residence but when cops checked it, they only found there his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi, who was driving their children to school.
Commenting about the scenario while at parliament, Bobi said that;
“So the Police surrounded my home in order to prevent me from going to Parliament today. I was too smart for them. I instead spent the night somewhere in the ghetto.”
The Tundra later picked him from his hideout but it was still blocked by police.
He added that; “As I was heading to Parliament, they blocked my car from around Kamwokya and tried to arrest me but I instead jumped onto a boda-boda. They tried to grab me off the boda but the riders fought them off.
Then the Police officers also jumped onto boda-bodas to chase me but the boda guys refused to carry the Police officers. I AM NOW AT PARLIAMENT”, he concluded.
It has since emerged that Bobi Wine had spent the night at his former Firebase ghetto in Kamwokya, Conta Africa zone.
