Bobi Wine’s Newly Created “Ghetto Media” Hacked, Deleted

The National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine’s recently created social media platform, “Ghetto media” has been hacked and deleted.

This is not the first page affiliated to Bobi Wine to be hacked and deleted.

Bobi Wine recently announced the creation of “Ghetto Mediya” after Ghetto TV and other media platforms that broadcast his campaigns live were hacked and deleted.

A one John Smeeth claimed responsibility of the hack in a notice.

“We hacked Ghetto TV, Ekyooto and Map Media. We have now hacked Ghetto Media, and we won’t stop” he said.

Bobi Wine also posted on his social media pages saying, “Ghetto media and Map Media have been yet again hacked and deleted. As we try to retrieve them or open new ones, we shall be streaming live here (his official page),” said Bobi Wine.

This week, the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) wrote to technology giant, Google asking it to shut down these pages on grounds they breach minimum broadcasting standards.

In response, Google said it would not shut them down without a Court order.

Meanwhile, Smeeth said, “The Government with diplomacy and all that mambo jambo seeking help from foreign Organizations (Google) instead boosted some of the account that dement further our image as a country simply because the foreign powers don’t care but also will use chaos to tear us apart further for their gain.”

He added that while, all Ugandans are patriots in a struggle for a better Uganda, they should not damage the image of this country, East Africa and Africa at large.

“ESO (External Security Organization), ISO (Internal Security Organization), UCC and Uganda security operatives can’t and won’t handle this effectively without us,” he added.
