Black Panther Makes History At SAG Awards

Marvel Studio’s Black Panther movie has on Sunday evening made history again after winning best Screen Actor Guild (SAG) Award for its outstanding performance as a cast in motion picture film.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther has become the first superhero picture and the biggest box office earner to ever win the guild’s top prize.

The film seems to capture the attention of many as its most likely to scoop many more awards under different categories as it has already been nominated for best Picture at the Oscars.

The first SAG award for best ensemble was bestowed in early 1996 to Apollo 13 and was recently won by ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing,Missouri’ in 2018.

Black Panther was a huge box office hit last year and a favorite to win big at the Oscars.It features a virtually all-black cast such as Chadwick Boseman,Lupita Nyong’o,Michael B. Jordan,Danai Gurira,Daniel Kaluuya,Letitia Wright,Winston Duke,Angela Bassett,Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis.
