Lugave 0-2 Nte, 2pm
Ffumbe 0-1 Mpindi, 4pm
The Bika football tournament semifinal return legs have been played at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
The first game of the day saw Lugave take on defending Champions Nte, after the earlier first leg ended in a one all goal draw.
Lugave entered into the duel with a depleted side as they missed out on league players in Muzamir Mutyaba, Brian Nkubi and Karim Nduggwa.
First half goals from Peter Lwasa and Herbert Katongole were enough as Nte edged Lugave to send the defending Champions back into the finals.
Speaking after the match, Nte Coach Deo Kasana said: “We have worked as a team and it has been through this fighting that has taken us to this final again. I thank all our fans who have been with us, and I call upon them to come and witness us as we defend this title.”
In the last semifinal of the day, Mpindi who had lost the first leg 2-1, entered the encounter without their top player Brian Majwega.
Mpindi’s Baker Mbowa scored the lone goal deep in the second half following Goalkeeper Hanington Ssebwalunyu’s blunder, but the goal was not enough as Mpindi missed out on a semifinal spot.
National team player Derrick Nsibambi played for Ffumbe.
Ffumbe will now face off with Nte in a crunch final at Bukalasa Luwero on November 25.
