Mpindi 1-2 Ffumbe

Ffumbe Clan Football team managed to pick a first leg 2-1 victory in the first leg of the semifinals at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

Andrew Kigozi scored from a direct free-kick after Joshua Lubwama was fouled at the edge of the box in the 44th minute for Ffumbe to take a halftime lead.

Mustapha Kasolo doubled Ffumbe’s lead back in the second half after a beautiful run of play.

Mpindi finally got a goal back when Lawrence Ndugga handled the ball in the area for Brian Majwega to score via a penalty.

Ffumbe’s player Ntege Kamada received matching orders from the referee following a clumsy challenge on Henry Kaziba but Mpindi could not take of the advantage as they went on to lose 2-1.

Mpindi Coach Kaziba said after the game; “We had a difficult game but I must say that the Ffumbe team played better than us, and my midfield was weak as the boys me lacked composure. We are going to train harder and comeback stronger in the second leg.”
