Besigye Car Impounded After Confrontation with Police

Police have Tuesday afternoon towed away Dr Kizza Besigye’s vehicle in Kampala town, unhealthy Chimp Corps report.

It all started with Besigye being driven from his residence in Kasangati to a commercial bank along Kampala road where he carried out some transactions.

He would later head to Nsambya, sildenafil a Kampala suburb.

On return, RPC Geoffrey Kaheebwa ordered Besigye not to proceed to city centre from Clock Tower.

However, Besigye who has since vowed to continue with acts of defiance rejected Kaheebwa’s command.

“It is my right to go everywhere I want,” charged Besigye.

Kaheebwa ordered anti-riot police personnel to tow away Besigye’s Land Cruiser brand car.

Chimp Corps say the incident marks the resumption of the defiance campaign by Uganda’s main opposition leader.

“I guarantee you that people will regain their authority in this country, not having leaders who treat citizens with contempt.  That is going to happen in Uganda,” warned Besigye during a press conference in Kampala.

“We are in the process of carrying out very serious revolution/transformation because the actions of the Museveni regime concede that I have much authority to lead the people of Uganda. The Museveni regime accepts that it is besieged,” he added.

Besigye was yesterday picked by security from the Kenya Airways plane on arrival at Entebbe International Airport.

It is understood Besigye’s vehicle is now being towed via Jinja road roundabout and Kololo probably to his home in Kasangati.
