Police have arrested former FDC president Col Kizza Besigye after a few hours of house containment.
Besigye who was recently nominated to contest for the opposition party’s flag bearer-ship was today slated to commence his rallies to seek support.
Police heavily deployed at his house in Kasangati, through the morning and blocked him from leaving his home.
Reports have now emerged that Besigye has been arrested as he tried to escape from his house to the nearby Kasangati playground to address his first rally.
We are yet to confirm reports that he was taken Nagalama Police station.
Police publicist Fred Enanga told us he was yet to be briefed on the arrest
