Beach Soccer: St Lawrence Maintain Perfection, YMCA Stumble

St Lawrence University maintained their perfect record with a 6-4 win over fellow scholars Kampala international University on Sunday in one of the seven games played in the Pepsi national beach soccer league.

The hard fought result means St. Lawrence extend their unbeaten streak to six straight games to park on 18 points.

KIU maintain their second position despite the loss but are trailing the leaders with six points in the monsoon group.

Real Galacticos defeated Stomers 2-1 to pull level on points with KIU though stale on third spot due to inferior goal difference.

Hurriken table leaders, sick YMCA suffered their first season defeat at the hands of former champions MUBS.

In the other game, information pills second placed Nkumba Select moved level on points following a 6-5 win over Muteesa Royal 1 University.

Dalumba international’s Kokas Opejo leads the scorers’ table with eleven goals followed by Roch Somoka (Nkumba Select) who has amassed ten

Musicians Naira Ali and Mun-G were part of the musicians who entertained the fans at the Lido Beach during the games.


The league continues on Sunday 27th November.
