Azam Uganda Premier League

SC Villa vs Mbarara City FC

Masaka Recreation Centre

Wednesday 27th September 4:30pm

Sports Club Villa will be looking forward to making amends as they host Mbarara City FC this Wednesday at Masaka recreation ground.

The jogoos come into this game on the back of a 1-0 loss to Vipers at St. Mary’s stadium and will be seeking to return to winning ways as soon as possible.

Even before the loss to Vipers, SC Villa had drawn against Police FC a game in which they were dominated.

Ahead of the game on Tuesday, SC Villa head coach Wasswa Bossa is aware of the pressure on him and believes they need to restructure as soon as possible.

“We have not won in the last two games and there is absolutely a concern in our striking department but we have tried to work on it and I believe the game against Mbarara City FC is a must win for us,” he said.

“We need to forget the points we have lost and make sure we focus on our next game and see how we improve,” Bossa added.

Mbarara City FC on the other hand have impressed in the three games they have played so far garnering five points.

Thus, the Ankole Lions come into the game under no pressure but will be seeking to earn a positive result away from home.

With Makweth Wol returning in the one all draw against Bright stars, the lanky forward is expected to lead the line of attack for the visitors.

SC Villa occupy 8th spot on the log while Mbarara City FC are in 5th position with 5 points.

Today’s engagement will be the first meeting between the two sides in the top flight league.
