AUPL: Resurgent Police FC Take on Wobbling Onduparaka

Uganda Premier League
Police FC vs Onduparaka

After a 7-0 annihilation at the hands of league leaders KCCA FC on Saturday, pharmacy Onduparaka FC return to action this Tuesday against Police FC at a ground yet to be named following closure of Nakivubo stadium.

Police under new manager Abdallah Mubiru have been in glowing form since the start of second round registering three league wins in as many games and would want to keep their streak going.

Mubiru is aware of the challenge ahead of them and believes the game against Onduparaka will not be an easy game.

“I respect Onduparaka because they are a good team with good players. I do not read so much into the 7-0 defeat because they lost to KCCA FC, mind the champions and we (Police) are not champions so we shall not take the game lightly,” he said.

The cops have been resurgent scoring 7 goals in the three games and Mubiru indicates the results have been positive because of a strong bond between him and the players.

“We have a strong understanding with the players, they listen to me and I also do the same so this has helped me to get going,” Mubiru indicated.
