Azam Uganda Premier League

BUL FC vs Soana FC

Kakindu stadium

Tuesday, 19th December 2017 4:30pm

BUL Football Club had tremendously improved on their performance before the CECAFA break. There has been great change from the torrid start that the team put up as the season got underway.

This was evident with a hard-fought 1-0 win away to Police FC a result that not only boosted the players confidence but also provided a sigh of relief to head coach Kefa Kisala.

With the league resuming this Tuesday, the target for the Jinja based side will be to try and maintain the momentum as they host Soana FC at Kakindu stadium.

Kisala asserts that the break has provided him enough time to try and rectify the mistakes and also address the key concerns of the team.

“It came at a time when we had just picked up but on the other hand the break provided us with room for improvement and time to put a few things right,” he said.

About Soana, Kisala believes it will not be an easy game given the experienced players that Soana has.

“We respect Soana becausthey  have a good team with experienced players but we are set and ready to challenge for maximum points,” Kisala noted.

Renewal of acquaintance

The two teams have players that have featured for either side and will be facing former employers.

Crespo Asiku will be up against former pay masters Soana FC as he is expected to lead the line for BUL FC.

On the other hand, shot stopper Franco Olinga if selected will be facing his former club BUL FC.

Head to head

Soana have been dominant in this encounter winning the previous four engagements.

The last time that BUL FC earned victory against Soana FC in the league was in 2014.

In the eight league meetings only one (in 2015) has ended with no goal(s) scored.

Soana are 11th on the table with 16 points just one above BUL FC who are 13th just a place above the drop zone.
