Tuesday, 19th December 2017 4:30pm

If there is any ground hard to pick a point in the Azam Uganda Premier League, it has got to be Champions stadium, Mwererwe.

Bright stars FC have made the ground a fortress with many teams struggling to put up a good performance in Mwererwe.

Police FC went on a free fall from the top at the time of the break and will be hoping for a positive result this Tuesday to keep within the title chase.

The loss to BUL FC in their last game saw the cops drop to third place, five points behind league leaders SC Villa.

Abdallah Mubiru is aware of the challenge that Bright stars pose at home but is confident his troops will get a good result.

“I expect a very competitive game against a side with a decent home record,” he said. “Besides, it’s one of the most intimidating grounds and they will be buoyed by the home fans,” he added.

Police FC have injury concerns with Denis Bigala, Juma Balinya and striker Basaan Saaf ruled out.

Hood Kaweesa and Aggrey Madoi who were part of the national team in the CECAFA tournament will be subjected to a late fitness test to determine if they will feature.

Bright stars on the other hand are likely to miss the services of head coach Fred Kajjoba who has been part of the technical team on the Uganda cranes team in CECAFA and his assistant Paul Kiwanuka is expected to take full charge.

Skipper Nelson Ssenkatuka is expected to return to the team fold and lead the hunt for goals.

Bright stars are 7th on the log with 18 points while Police FC occupy third place on 23 points.
