Police Football Club had a brilliant start to the season leading the table for several days before their performance towards the end of the first round.
With the league resuming this Saturday, the Cops will hope they get underway with on a good note.
Abdallah Mubiru’s charges take on Mbarara City FC at Mandela National stadium hoping for revenge for the first leg loss at Kakyeka stadium.
The Ankole Lions then under caretaker manager, Vialli Bainomugisha defeated Police FC 2-1 and thus the cops will come with a revenge spirit.
Police FC begin life without striker Hood Kaweesa and midfielder Gift Ali who left the club during the mid-season transfer period.
Kaweesa scored seven league goals for the Police warders before moving to Zambian outfit Buildcon FC.
On the other hand, Mbarara City under the guidance of Ibrahim Kirya will be seeking for their first away win in the league.
The team will be without several key players including goalkeeper Ali Kimera, defender Yesseri Waibi and Bassey Methodius who are all suspended.
However, new signing from UPDF FC Owen Kasule is expected to be handed his debut.
Police FC are 5th on the table with 24 points while Mbarara City occupy 9th place on 19 points.
