Police FC have have staged two remarkable comebacks to earn an important point at home against Express FC in a highly entertaining end to end six goal thriller at Kavumba stadium on Friday.
Allan Kyambadde’s fifth minute strike put the Red Eagles in the control mode but Osman Mutumba spoilt the Reds mood in the 43rd to with his strike that restored the balance into the breather.
Coach Waswa Bossa was prompted to make an early double change at the start of the second period pulling off his captain Suleiman Mutyaba and defensive midfielder Derrick Tekwo for Saddam Juma and Simon Sserunkuma.
Police were unfazed by the new introductions and piled more pressure in the opponents goal with their effort yielding five minutes laterafter Rahmat Senfuka pulled off a stunning strike from outside the area to put the law enforcers in the lead for the first time.
The Eagles rallied back after restarting the ball with substitute Simon Sserunkuma equalizing just a minute later. Sserunkuma turned provider 15 minutes later with a well taken curve that found Allan Kyambadde in the right place for a header.
The visitors were forced to finish the game with nine men after Musa Mukasa was given match orders with only eight minutes remaining on the clock.
Police capitalized on their numerical strength and pulled the game level through Hood Kaweesa.
The draw leaves Police FC in the red zone with only seven points from nine games while Express are sixth with 13 points.
