AUPL: KCCA FC Target URA Scalp to Go Top of the Table

Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have the chance to return to the summit of the league as they take on URA FC at Phillip Omondi stadium this Wednesday.

With title rivals SC Villa dropping points against Kirinya on Tuesday, website KCCA FC have a realistic chance to move top of the table.

At 46 points, KCCA FC sit just a point behind SC Villa but with a four games in hand and victory against the tax collectors will take them top.

Uganda Revenue Authority are in scintillating form and unbeaten in their last six outings including 5 straight wins.

Despite the blip last week that saw them exit the Uganda cup, URA FC head coach Ibrahim Kirya is confident his team will bounce back soon.

“It was a painful exit but we have put that behind us and ready to move on. The game against KCCA FC  is tricky but we are committed and ready to give our best,” Kirya noted.

Following a slump in two league games against Soana and Police, KCCA FC reedemed themselves with victory against Bright stars.


The first leg meeting between the two sides ended in a 1-0 win for URA FC at Mehta stadium, Lugazi.
