Azam Uganda Premier League

Bright stars 0-0 Police FC

Police Football Club and Bright stars FC failed to find the cutting edge on either side as the game eventually ended in a barren stalemate.

The game played on Tuesday at Champions stadium, Mwererwe produced no winner with goalkeepers taking the limelight.

Douglas Kisembo denied the hosts on several occasions while veteran goalie Hamza Muwonge on the other hand was a key pillar for to deny Police FC.

Starting the game without skipper and leading goalscorer Nelson Ssenkatuka, Bright stars had the search for goals through lanky forward Ashraf Kawadwa.

Kawadwa also put the stars ahead but a great display from goalkeeper Kisembo saw him dash to deny the former at the edge of the box.

On the other hand, Bright stars Muwonge stood firm in goal to deny Hood Kaweesa and Norman Ogik.

Despite introducing Ssenkatuka in the second stanza Police FC remained resilient and eventually walked away with a point.

The result saw Police FC move to second place on 24 points while Bright stars moved to 7th position on 19 points.
