AUPL: Daunting Bugembe Trip to Test Vipers Title Credentials

Vipers Sports Club continue with their quest for the Uganda Premier league title with a short journey to the eastern town of Jinja to play Sadolin Paints FC.

The painters are coming from two identical one all draws against Lweza FC away in Wankulukuku and Proline FC at home last week. In both games Sadolin grabbed the early lead through Norman Ogik but were unfortunate not to hold on.

The Kitende side fought hard to pick a 1-0 win over another Jinja side Kirinya in their last assignment at Nakivubo. In fact the coach Mubiru charges haven’t lost a game in their last four meeting after falling to Express a month ago.

Hosts will be searching for their first ever win against their favored opponents. They look to build on a barren draw last time at Bugembe.

“We expect a tough challenge from them especially with the title fight shaping up on top of the table but that doesn’t mean we are going to surrender. We are in an uncomfortable position and need these points more than them today, patient ” Sadolin top striker Ogik said.

Sadolin Paints FC will miss the services of Joseph Semwogerere who picked a knock during training while Ivan Mulyanga awaits late fitness test.

“We haven’t lost here in the last couple of visits but we are mentally and physically ready and that is very important for us. It will be a good chance for us to get confidence that we can win at Bugembe, approved ” Vipers coach Abdallah Mubiru told ChimpSport.

The venoms will have to do business without Erisa Sekisambu who got injured against Kirinya. However, Joseph Semujju and Siraj Sentamu will boost the team after curing.
