Experienced midfielder Paddy Muhumuza has completed his move to join FUFA Big League side Arua Hill Sports Club on a two-year contract.
Muhummuza becomes the second Tooro United player to join the Leopards in the ongoing transfer window after Mike Kawooya.
The 33-year-old midfielder is known for his unrelenting energy and excellent ball-winning abilities aiding him in his box-to-box style.
He has in the past featured for Seeta Young, Jogoo Young and Fire Masters, all in the 4th Division, before switching to Proline FC, Lweza FC and later Tooro United FC.
“They shared with me the dreams of gaining promotion to the top flight and I felt I could contribute to that cause. The promotion dream is what I love and it also made me fall in love with the club. I am looking forward to seeing the club gain promotion and I still dream of going professional,” Muhummuza noted.
Arua Hill SC head coach Hussein Mbalangu also believes Muhummuza’s experience in the top flight will help the club gain promotion to the Uganda Premier League next season
“Because our first target is to be promoted to the Premier League and for it to happen, we need experienced players who have been there before, understand and can withstand pressure,” Mbalangu said.
He added, “Paddy is a very good talented player. He is good with and without the ball. His passing, movements and creativity is superb and when you have strikers like Caesar Okhuti and Agau, you need a midfielder who can think for them every time.”
Muhummuza joins defender Mike Kawooya, left back Dan Birikwalira, right back Collinie Onega, and forward Rashid Agau as the other signings made ahead of next season.
