Residents of Enzeva village in Arivu Sub county last night set ablaze a bus belonging to KK coaches for allegedly knocking down one of the locals.
According to the West Nile Police Spokesperson SP Josephine Angucia, the incident happened on Thursday night at around 10pm.
She said that the coach was coming from Koboko to Kampala.
“As the driver and turn man fled off from the scene, the conductor was badly beaten by the angry locals who set the bus on fire with human beings, parcels and luggage,”
In a statement, the police publicist added that “Police are at the scene making more detailed inquiries in to the matter as investigations continue.”
She however told chimp corps that no one on the bus was injured but noted the most of the passengers lost their property in the fire.
