A gang of robbers armed with machine guns raided Sseguku, a select residential area along Entebbe road and robbed lots of property.
The attack that left money people in shock happened on Sunday at around 2am in the night.
Emilian Kayima, the police spokesperson told journalists Monday at central police station in Kampala that police has mounted a hunt for the gunmen.
He said that the robbers attacked various homes and stole property on gun-point.
One of the residents identified as Joel Musasizi had his car among other properties robbed.
Kayima revealed the stolen SUV as a surf registration number UAM 243J which the suspects used to transport their loot.
In his address on the continued robberies, the police publicist encouraged the public to embrace neighbourhood watch as a strategy that will enable to guard against attacks by robbers.
“When we strengthen the neighbourhood watch, we shall reduce on crime,” he said.
