The number of Ugandans dying of COVID 19 in foreign countries is continuing to rise.
The latest is one Hajji Mugerwa who passed on in the United States.
The late Mugerwa is the father to Former Mutesa 1 Royal University Guild President Eng. Kiggundu Arafat.
Hajji Mugerwa succumbed to coronavirus days after it claimed his sister.
The deceased had gone to the United States to visit his sister and he transited through Dubai.
The family says on arrival, they invited another brother to come over and he is believed to have passed the infection to both Mugerwa and his sister as well as the sister’s two sons.
One other sibling and two nephews are currently ailing with the virus.
Last week on March 29th March, Pastor Charles Paddy Kayiwa died from COVID 19 in the United Kingdom.
Other persons of Ugandan descent that have also succumbed to COVID 19 include Dr Acellam Labeja, 69, who was a medical doctor at University hospital Lewisham in the UK, Sarah Acheng, Jane Kabong, Gertrude Lukeca, Boniface Okee and Susan Onyac.
Currently, the total number of COVID19 confirmed cases in Uganda still stands at 52 after 231 samples tested negative yesterday.
