Anne Kansiime is the latest Ugandan celebrity who is venturing into the media industry.
The comedienne has announced that she will be launching an online TV channel called AKTV.
The African queen of comedy has partnered with Zimbabwe comedian Carl Joshua Ncube’s disruptive TV platform called “Feel Good Africa” to create the TV channel.
According to a statement released by the comedian on Friday, AKTV will mainly focus on delivering comedy programs.
“Creator of Feel Good Africa Carl Joshua Ncube is super excited to work with such a giant of African Comedy and believe they both also have a passion for business and this is a match made in heaven.
The channel will operate through Facebook’s Watch Parties and will give users continuous content from Anne Kansiime and other comics and products interested in exploiting her amazing reach which parallels that of regular terrestrial television stations.
The channel will run on a soft launch version for 3 months on social media said Ncube,”Kansiime wrote.
The Comedian has kept it a top secret as to when the TV channel will start airing.
This comes barely a week after legendary singer Jose Chameleone announced he will be opening up a radio station that will strictly play local music. Chameleone said he has already secured a frequency for the radio and will be launching it soon.
