Uganda Cranes striker Geoffrey Massa didn’t complete ninety minutes as his new team Bloemfotein Celtics overcame giants Orlando Pirates by a lone goal from Vuyani Ntanga’s 76th minute header from Lantshene Phalane cross. The win was the first for the team in Absa Premier league.
Massa came close to opening his Celtics account on the 29th minute with a stunning short range strike but Siyabonga Mpontshane in the Bucs goal was in the right position to make a save. The Ugandan was pulled out in the 62nd minute for Lamola.
Massa was cleared and issued a work permit a week ago while Pirates’ new signing Yassar Mugerwa is still awaiting his papers to be cleared to make a debut.
Pirates who have picked only three points will be in continental assignment against Zamalek away.
