Led by northern Uganda’s sensational comedian Okello Okello, the sold out show did not in any way disappoint revelers be it at organizational level or the performances.
Last Tuesday, Rock Comedy again offered a night of relentless laughter, featuring performances from Bruno K, Poetry all stars and Maro.
The show was packed with some of the biggest and funniest acts in comedy, who came to keep the crowd entertained; they included Agnes Akite, Optional Allan and Amooti.
Amooti was the man the crowd looked out for; famed for his jokes about his music, love and sex.
The Amarula Family boss threw fans over the clouds when he entered stage with rare dances to his latest music and was later joined by his new Amarula Production members.
It was full entertainment for the audience, who had enormous fun enjoying different types of comedy from the talented rib crackers, poets and singers, all in one event.
The show was hosted by Andrew Kyamagero, host of ‘Omuntu wa wansi’ show at NTV Uganda.
The best comedy is crafted by those who can come up with a great joke by not making the listener or audience needlessly uncomfortable and without resorting to gratuitous profanity and vulgarity for its own sake.
And it’s not that the occasional blue lane isn’t appropriate and funny. It’s just that it should be delivered with stinging eagerness and motivation instead of a dull, predictable and repetitive vocal utterance which is why at Rock bar, comedians poke fun at Ugandan habits and attitudes, effortlessly blending humor with current topics in society, leaving the audience over the moon.
