News reaching us this Thursday evening is that international musicians Mali, Jonathan and Da’Truth will headline the ‘Born Free’ concert.
The gala aims at speaking to and equipping the urban and elite young people with foundational principles, moral direction and skills to be able to make effective and kingdom minded leaders and productive citizens; not just in the near future but even right now.
Jackie Bangirana, one of the organisers revealed that “The Born Free is a movement initiated through a partnership between Covenant Nations Church and The Usual Suspects Ltd to reach out and impact the new generation of young people that have been born and grown up in a time of relative peace and freedom but might not necessarily been equipped to know how to handle it.”
The Born Free Youth Conference slated for 21st-23rd September, is a 3-day conference featuring great speakers and performances from leading gospel artistes, breakout sessions, workshops on things like career choices, relationships and sexuality, gifts and talents, finances, etiquette etc.
Sessions will run from 9am-4:30pm mainly targeting high school students.
Speakers include Jay Dangers, Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, Dr. Amenkienan (Nigeria), Emmanuel Lambert aka Da TRUTH (US).
The guest artistes will perform alongside Ugandan gospel acts like Kimera, Pastor Brian Lubega, Sandra Suubi and Zabuli.
These artistes will perform as well as share with the crowd experiences based on the conference theme, so that they can have a mini taste of what happens at the youth conference.
