French Ambassador to Uganda Stephanie Rivoal has on Saturday officially launched singer eddy Kenzo’s Big Talent soccer academy.
The launch was held at Kyadondo Rugby grounds during the grand finale of the France-Uganda friendship week that comprised of fun-filled series of events to celebrate the longstanding friendship between the two Countries, through music, dance, sports, cultural activities, tourism expos, food and fashion among others.
Late last year in July, H.E Rivoal, was invited to Katali Primary school, where she pledged to help uplift the structural standard of Katali Primary School in Naguru-Nakawa division.
The project will see the dilapidated school get renovated and other blocks built, with the priority being the play field.
Big Talent academy and Katali will join Lubiri Secondary School, Kisaasi Primary School and Police Children’s Primary Schools in Kibuli and Naguru that were supported during 2017’s France –Uganda Friendship week held in March.
After the launch, there was a battle between Uganda Rugby team and the French Military team, which ended in favor of Uganda after scoring 34 against 13.
The day long -week activities were then climaxed in the evening, with a music concert that saw Uganda’s top musicians perform, such as Eddy Kenzo, Cindy, Fik Fameica, Beenie Gunter and King Saha among others, that raised funds aimed at helping the above mentioned facilities.
