The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Patrick Mugoya earlier this week met Ms. Julie Reverse, the Country Representative of Medecins Sans Frontieres (Msf) a French International Organization accredited to Uganda.
The Country Representative called on the Office of the Permanent Secretary to discuss matters of mutual interests between Uganda and MSF.
Amb. Mugoya welcomed Ms. Julie Reverse and commended MSF for the remarkable humanitarian efforts to combat health emergencies in Uganda notably in the provision of health services in addressing maternal health care, HIV treatment and prevention to mention but a few.
Ms. Reverse conveyed a message of gratitude to Mugoya for taking time to meet her.
She further expressed MSF’s commitment to consistently deliver Health services, emergency aid to Ugandans affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from health care.
The Permanent Secretary assured the MSF team on Ministry’s provision of technical support as well as commitment to facilitate their operations.
The meeting was also attended by Commissioner of Police Herman Owomugisha, Senior Superintendent of Police Paul Kakamba and other Government Officials.
