There is much anticipation as the Oil and Gas industry is once again set to converge for the fourth edition of the Annual Oil and Gas Convention next week in Kampala.
Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum (UCMP) together with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development through the Directorate of Petroleum has organized the Convention.
The two day convention which is going to be held from April 25 and 26, 2018, will be at Serena Hotel in Kampala.
This year, it’s going to run under the theme: ‘Regional Collaboration for First Oil’.
On Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Kampala Serena Hotel, in Addis Hall, the Press briefing was held to launch the convention.
Giving his remark on the day, UCMP chairman Elly Karuhanga, briefly noted:
“This is set to be the biggest event of the year; a lot is going to be shared on those two days.”
He thanked all the partners including the sponsors and media go their great role.
In a brief interview with UCMP general Secretary Sam Thakkar, he noted that the convention will promote the growth and development of Uganda’s mining and Petroleum sector for the benefit of the country.
He added: “This will provide investments that come with a lot of promotion in Education, infrastructure development, employment opportunities and others.”
